Set Up a Source

Sources are the proptech systems you extract data from — inspection and condition tools, AI leasing and resident messaging, maintenance and payments products, access and IoT platforms, and core property systems when you need them, plus any other connector in the catalog that holds data your team relies on. Configuring a source connector is the first step toward building a pipeline in Propexo Connect.

For connector names and categories, see the Connector Directory.

Add a New Source

  1. In Propexo Connect, start the flow to create a source.
  2. Choose the source connector for the system you want to connect. Each connector asks for its own settings—typically authentication and any parameters the vendor requires.
  3. Complete the configuration form. For field-level detail, use whatever guidance appears in the product and the connector’s page in the Connector Directory.
  4. Finish the flow so Propexo Connect can validate the connection to the source system. After the source is saved and validation succeeds, you can pair it with a destination when you create connections.

Edit a Source

You can update a source connector's configuration at any time — for example, to rotate credentials or adjust connection parameters.

  1. Open the source you want to change.
  2. Adjust the configuration fields.
  3. Save your changes. Propexo Connect should re-validate the connection with the updated settings.

Delete a Source

danger

Deleting a source also removes all connections associated with it. Data already delivered to your destinations remains intact, but re-creating the connection later requires a full data re-sync.

  1. Open the source you want to remove.
  2. Use the product’s delete action for that source.
  3. Complete any confirmation step the product requires.

Reuse Sources Across Pipelines

Once configured, a source connector can be referenced by multiple connections. Set up a given vendor connector once — for example HappyCo or EliseAI — then create a separate connection for each destination you want to send its data to, without duplicating the source configuration. Each connection still pairs that source with a single destination.

If you manage multiple accounts on the same platform — for example, separate production workspaces or portfolios that do not share credentials — create a dedicated source connector for each account, since each requires its own authentication context.

Request a New Connector

If Propexo Connect does not yet offer a connector for the source system you need, contact Propexo Support to request one.
